Stachys lavandulifolia Populations: Volatile Oil Profile and Morphological Diversity
نویسندگان
چکیده
The morphological and essential oil diversity of Stachys lavandulifolia populations from the west northwest Iran were evaluated. results showed a significant difference between for nearly all evaluated traits. broadest variation ranges recorded auxiliary shoot length, leaf length in main branch, number flowers inflorescences. Furthermore, cluster analysis divided 13 into four separate groups. GC/MS verified presence 28 components comprising up to 94/4% oils. dominant constituents α-pinene (1.07–34.87%), (E)-caryophyllene (0.45–25.99%), germacrene D (3.36–20.61%), Δ-cadinene (2.82–19.90%), bicyclogermacrene (1.72–12.08%) α-terpineol (0–11.86%), α-muurolol (0.31–11.50%), p-cymene (0.67–9.67%), β-elemene (0.63–9.31%), sabinene (0.32–6.29%). revealed that natural habitats related geo-climatological cues influenced traits composition. Considering substantial environmental variations broad diversity, there would be rich selection pool interest. are step forward breeding programs highlighted needed by pharmaceutical industries. with future comparative study Iranian territories neighboring countries, we will have realistic idea coming conservational exploitation programs.

The essential oil obtained from the aerial parts of the Turkish endemism Stachys aleurites (Lamiaceae) has been studied. The main constituents were sesquiterpene hydrocarbons: bcaryophyllene (33.7%), bicyclogermacrene (14.5%) and germacrene D (9.6%). The main monoterpene was a-pinene (8.4%). Some chemotaxonomical considerations have been provided. 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

UNLABELLED Medicinal plants are presumed to be natural sources of antioxidants that protect organisms from oxidative stresses. The present investigation aims to study the anti-oxidative stress activity of the Stachys lavandulifolia (S. lavandulifolia) plant. This trial was conducted on 26 healthy human subjects. The study was done in a before after fashion. The included subjects were asked to c...

The n-hexane (HE), dichloromethane (DC), methanol (ME), ethanol 70% (ET), and methanol with Soxlhet apparatus (MS) extracts of Stachys lavandulifolia aerial parts were screened for their potential tyrosinase, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitory activity. ET and MS inhibited tyrosinase with IC50 values of 33.4 and 42.8 μg/mL, respectively. The phytochemical in...
